Karen Robertson, DNP, APRN-BC

Karen joined Carolina Nephrology in 2005 as our Adult Nurse Practitioner. Karen graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continuing with her Master of Science in Nursing. In 2013 Karen furthered her medical expertise by completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of South Carolina. Karen, her husband and daughter live in Simpsonville.

Gail E. Kirby, APRN

Gail joined Carolina Nephrology in July 2011 as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Masters in Nursing in May 2003, and continued her education with a Post-Master’s degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating in May 2004. Gail lives with her husband and two children in Greer.

John Sharkey IV, MSN, APRN, NP-C

John Sharkey IV is a native of Philadelphia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from USC Upstate in Greenville, SC in 2012 and then went on to complete the Adult- Geriatric Practitioner program at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2014.

John began his career in healthcare as a nurse with Cleveland Regional Medical Center in their Progressive Care Unit. He then moved back to Greenville in 2013 where he joined the Greenville Health System as a nurse working in their Coronary Intervention and Recovery unit.

John will be covering our Greenville, Greer and Simpsonville offices as well as the dialysis units with Carolina Nephrology.

We are excited John is joining our team and look forward to continuing to provide quality care to all of our patients.

Jordan Crosby, PA-C

Jordan Crosby joined Carolina Nephrology in March 2016. Previously, she worked as a nephrology physician assistant in Charleston, SC, where she specialized in chronic kidney disease and acute renal failure.

“I am really passionate about taking care of people, which is why I am thrilled to be part of the Carolina Nephrology team,” said Jordan. Her favorite part of her job at Carolina Nephrology is working with their patients and her kind and helpful coworkers. When she’s not on the job, Jordan enjoys exercising and spending time with her husband, baby, and dog.
